GUIDE HACHETTE

Located in the center of the village Ammerschwihr, important wine-growing village northwest of Colmar, the exploitation is conducted since 1996 by Christophe, Marcel Freyburger's son. It has doubled its area since the beginning and now extends over 7 hectares, between low slopes and hillsides, with a plot in the Kaefferkopf, the local grand cru.

Guide 2019 – Pinot Gris 2016 Grand Cru Kaefferkopf 2 Etoiles
Christophe FREYBURGER pampered in the Kaefferkopf a few rows of Pinot Gris, a grape variety that is confidential in this Grand Cru. He shot a 2016 of a rare harmony. Already full-blown (mango, notes of over-ripening and typical touch of smoke), the nose reflects the original terroir of this wine, with granite soils. In a beautiful continuity, the mouth reveals a certain sweetness, well balanced by a beautiful acid frame. Fluffy, light or dry, a wine made for gastronomy.
