Discover and end of the winter in March !

 

The transition from February to March is done with sunny weather! ☀️

This fine weather stimulates the vines and makes the sap rise up in the twigs, forming drops at their ends.

These tears are the first visible sign of the awakening of the vine 🍀!

 

The end of February is accompanied by the end of Vine Pruning and the start of Tying!

During the pruning, we chose the fruiting branches (woods). It is now necessary

Attach them to the trellis wires.

The vine is a liana, so it is important to tame it in order to limit excess vegetation,

and a drop in the quality of the grapes. 🍇

The purpose of tying is to ventilate the vine and optimize its exposure to the sun.

The Domaine invites you to discover this work in the vineyard during the Vis ma Vie de Vigneron Bio Workshops! 🌱

 

The work is not only done in the vines ... There are also some in the cellar.

The wines continue to evolve in casks, on fine lees.

Lees are residual materials, "sediments" resulting from the fermentation of yeasts.

These lees allow to bring complexity to the wines.

The next step is the filtration of the wines during bottling in April. 🍾
